Ms. ChanaNdler Bong
I told a great friend I would use that as a title to my next blog so there...I did it.
Well I think I have Kim's mood from last week. I have been, in her words, Gritchy. Little things are bothering me that usually wouldn't. Such as this little tid bit....
So Friday night Marc, Mari & Aiden and Dave, Amy & Lane all came over to eat pizza and color easter eggs. Its been a tradition for quite some time now. So we color the eggs and the boys are all playing. Now the boys ages are 6--Lane, 4 1/2--Aiden, 2 1/2--Griffin....just wanted to make that clear. So all night Lane & Aiden were bithcing because Griffin did something to them....which granted he took his own toy back...but come on boys there are more toys. So then the wrestling started. And let me tell you Griff was holding his own. He was taking them down left and right. So this one point he had Lane on the floor and he had his arm kinda around his head in a headlock...granted Griffin's arm CANNOT reach around Lane's head and Lane weighs about 85 lbs. Amy looks over and sees this and yells...no screams "Griffin what do you think your doing?" runs out there and removes my child from hers. Now again...her kid is freakin big. If Griffin was hurting him he couldv'e easily gotten up and stopped it. He wasn't crying at all and believe me if Griffin was hurting him he wouldv'e been crying. Either way...it went all over me. I don't know why it did but it did. I didn't say anything to her...but it really pissed me off.
So then yesturday she calls and wants to do an Easter Egg Hunt. I was like fine...where? And she said not her house she was thinking the park. Griffin was cranky all day and the last thing I wanted to do is take him to the park. So I said "Well my only issue with the park is Griffin will throw a fit when it is time to go" and she comes back with "He will throw a fit anyway"....WTF!!! My child does have his moments but he is not still attached by the umbilical cord as hers is!!! Man that shit really pissed me off!!! Is this right? Should this make me mad and would it make you all mad?
Still mad about my visit with my dad. His wife ruined it. She drank a freakin case of beer in the 4 days she was here. She had 4 freakin beers before going to Meg's school and watching her play. She passed out on the couch every night and my dad says she does it everynight...of course he says she is just a sleeper....Dad wake up and smell the alcohol.....she is a alcoholic!!!!
Well my perfect angel just got himself out of the tub and is dripping water everywhere....love to all!!!

Actually it's Ms. ChanaNdler Bong!!
The quip about Griffen throwing a fit probably wouldn't have bothered me if the first incident hadn't taken place. What 6 year old needs Mommy's protection from a two year old boy?? I'm not saying Griffen is a wimp, but come on, Lane has to outweigh him by at least 20 pounds and he has four years on him. I'd have let them go at it until somebody was really ticked. The two older boys, who seem to be suffering from only-child-Momma's-boy syndrome, should be old enough to know how to share; it's totally normal for a two year old to want HIS toy back when he's in HIS house!! You'd think they'd just ignore him and move on. As for rethinking an invite on the likely possiblity you'll have to deal with a tantrum, I just have to say that I totally know where you're coming from. Tell me one normal two year old that DOESN'T throw tantrums. I think people just forget that two-year olds can resemble paranoid schitzophrenics on speed one moment then be absolutely adorable the next. I'm right here with you on this one.
At least my mood seems to have lifted, so cheer up on the thought that yours will, too. Friday morning I was just feeling sorry for myself after realizing that I was the only non-cruiser (besides Christie) working enrollment, and as different cruisers came in they kept rehashing events from the trip. I can listen and contribute to a conversation like that to a point, but it gets old when you don't have the whole picture of whatever happened and nobody is bothering to fill you in. Reminds me of tagging along after my big brother as a kid, trying to get his attention. Oh bother!!!! I have found an interesting way to pass the time when I'm up in the middle of the night: CoolQuiz.com You can take all sorts of quizzes, but being the geek I am the science one is my current fave. At least it's a change from solitaire and I have learned some things!!
Hope your week goes better!!! I am totally looking forward to Thursday; I've got Beth coming at 6:00 pm and am planning on hitting either the club or the Martini Bar afterwards for a bite to eat (probably the club so I can at least use my food allowance!!!). I also just made my hair appointment for Saturday and can't wait for adult prom to get here!!! Since we have two extra tickets, I put Bob & Debbie Waddell on the guest list and they may come just to see the inside of the Martin's house. If you don't know them very well, they're a lot of fun to hang out with.
Talk to you later!!!!!! Hang in there; the fog does lift!!!!!!!!! To help you along, or at least to get you fixated on something else..
Float, Flutter, Fly.......

Oh Rock, Oh Rock on Hilltop High.
Float, Flutter, Fly......

Yes I would be mad! Lane outweighs him by how much? She is way overprotective (and that's coming from an overprotective mom). I'm overprotective because Kaelie wants to be too independent for her age. Anyway. Every kid has a fit when they have to leave the park. Kaelie is 5 1/2 and she does sometimes still. I don't know one single child that doesn't have a moment of tantrum and fits. I saw an 8 year old have one yesterday over not wanting to share a toy with her sister. So come on, that's ridiculous. I don't know them that well, but he is a pretty super sensitive kid and if he wasn't crying over the wrestling, then why fuss? Boys wrestle and play fight, it's what they do. Kaelies cousins play fight with her and I'm talking even the 13 and 11 year old boys. Although I do hate the hitting, but that is something else. Didn't I tell you about Mary passing out every night when we visited last summer. It is ridiculous, I don't know how that woman makes Dad happy. Can't wait til June (har har)
